FAQ
Does it really never see my drafts or code?
Yes. The app only receives status codes (started, thinking, completed, published) and tone metadata over local loopback (127.0.0.1:18182). Not a single byte of your drafts, prompts, or source code ever enters the pet app.
How does it integrate with AI agents like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex?
Through terminal CLI and IDE hooks, Chatnimal reacts whenever an AI agent is thinking (fast keyboard tapping) and when it finishes (celebration jump). Zero complex configuration—it connects instantly via local bridge token authentication.
How does the Big Stage center-screen reminder work?
At your chosen interval (30–90 min), your pet scales up 2.5x to the center of your display with a loaf nap posture or water drinking motion. You can confirm with [Done ✅] or snooze with [10 min later ⏰].
How do Toilet Paper Roll and Peek Mode work?
Scroll down with your mouse wheel over the pet to unroll endless sheets of toilet paper (auto-rewinds after 1.5s). When you drag the pet to a screen edge or enter fullscreen video, it hides 72% into peek mode with only its face visible.
What is the Chatnimal extension?
A lightweight browser extension for X and Threads compose boxes. It refines your draft into three tones using the three-slot formula (who + wants + why not) right inside the compose box.
Do unused credits roll over?
Monthly credits are valid for the 30-day billing cycle and reset to the plan amount on renewal. The 30 welcome credits from the Companion Pack never expire.
